Wir sehen sie nur als vorbei fliegende Schatten, als dunkle Wolken aus Stahl, Gummi und Staub. Ihr Weg ist nicht ihr Ziel, die Straße nicht ihr Zuhause. Nur in der Beschleunigung verstummt ihre innere Unruhe.Städte sind ihre Wegmarken, an denen sie Energie für hungrige Maschinen tanken. Sie können vielleicht den Durst ihrer Motoren stillen, aber nicht ihr Verlangen nach dem Gefühl des Sieges. Jedes Ziel ist nur ein Punkt auf der Karte, von dem aus es weitergeht zum nächsten Punkt und weiter zum nächsten Punkt, in einem endlosen Rennen gegen die Zeit und den Gegner.
Dies ist ein Morgen wie jeder andere. Dies ist Lissabon.

There are men among us, to whom each home is prison. We only realize them als flying shadows, dark clouds of steel, rubber and dust. Their way is not their destination, the street not their home. Their inner restlessness only stops for acceleration.
Cities are their waypoints to feed their hungry machines. They may quench their engines thirst, but not their own desire for the moment of victory. Every destination is just another spot on the map, to chase the next spot and the one thereafter, in an endless race against time and their opponents.
This is a morning like any other. this is Lisbon.
